On the early hours of today, we met with one of the vibrant and successful business and data analyst who graduated from the prestigious Federal Polytechnic of Ado-Ekiti whose success story is immeasurable from been a low level person to a recognized individual with just his HND certificate.
He said, My “HND” Certificate made all the difference. I graduated with 3.30/4.0 CGPA from a Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti in Nigeria. Yes, that’s the truth. I may have been executive NFA (No future ambition) student as they fondly labelled socially inclined students, but I knew exactly my onions and salt. Perhaps, because I was into SUG politics and other non-voluntary activities. I had fun in college.

I attended polytechnic not because I couldn’t gain admission into the University but it was because I was financially handicapped. Had several admission into 3 different universities for Pharmacy, Medicine & Pharmacology on diff occasions but had no funding. Fed Poly Ado was affordable for me.
However, while in the Polytechnic, there were talks of discrimination between BSc and HND, and inability for HND graduates like me to break boundaries with HND certificate. Am sorry, I am a lion who never backed-off, and I have a word to anyone faced with such in any level of your pursuit. “Intensify your grit and never give up”.

He went ahead saying, with my HND certificate without PGD or prerequisites, I have broken boundaries from being a Cabin crew to being a trained Commercial Pilot then transitioned to being a Business and Data Analyst. Remember, I got my MSc by just WES evaluation in the US.
