NYSC has fixed the 2026 Batch C Stream I orientation course for Wednesday 30 September to Tuesday 20 October 2026, in all 36 states and the FCT. Registration at camp runs from 30 September to Friday 2 October, and the swearing-in is on 2 October. The announcement came from the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, on 15 September.
That gives you under two weeks. Here is the order to do things in.
This week
- Finish online registration if you have not. Check every field against your statement of result: name, date of birth, course, graduation date. A mismatch on the call-up letter means no registration at camp.
- Check your dashboard daily for your deployment state. It appears before the call-up letter is generated.
- Get your medical fitness certificate from a government hospital now; the queues get longer the closer to camp.
- Passport photographs: eight, white background, recent.
When your call-up letter is generated
- Print it yourself. Several copies. Do not laminate it.
- Find your camp in the camp directory and read what the last batch said about it.
- Book daytime travel. NYSC’s advice, and ours: no night journeys, and board only at designated motor parks.
Packing
Use the camp kit checklist. Whites, canvas, a power bank and a waterproof folder for documents are what people regret forgetting.
Relocation, marriage, health
These are handled after camp, on the portal. Anyone offering to “arrange” your state before camp is selling nothing; read the scams every PCM should know.
Stream II
PCMs who are not deployed with Stream I go to camp with Stream II a few weeks later. The date has not been announced. It will be on the 2026 Batch C hub the day it is.
