Corps members are entitled to annual leave (usually two weeks, taken once) plus compassionate, maternity or medical leave. The letter goes to your PPA head, and a copy to your LGI, because both must know where you are for clearance.

Notes
- Get the approval in writing and show it to your LGI before you travel, or that month’s clearance is at risk.
- Maternity leave is longer and needs a doctor’s letter; ask your LGI for the state’s current provision.
